A nursing supervisor is staffed every shift to coordinate nursing activities and is available for patient and family consultation.

Under the direction of the medical staff, the team of respiratory therapists evaluates, treats and manages patients with cardiopulmonary problems. The goal of the dietitians is to strive to meet the nutritional needs of the patients and prepare diets as ordered by the physician. The dietitians also perform periodic nutritional assessments and monitor the nutrition plan. When illness or surgery adversely affects a patient’s stomach or digestive system, medication and nutrition can be administered through a PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) or a PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) until the patient recovers. Total Parenteral Nutrition is available for patients with significant nutritional needs.
