About Our Hospital

Kindred Hospital Tucson is a 51-bed facility licensed by the state of Arizona as a specialty hospital providing long-term acute care. The hospital is certified by Medicare and accredited by The Joint Commission. Kindred Hospital Tucson offers a full range of services to medically complex and catastrophically ill patients. Most of Kindred’s patients are referred from local hospitals and require acute care for an extended time.

Kindred’s nationwide system of long-term acute care hospitals helps Kindred Hospital Tucson ensure consistent enhancements in quality, protocols, and technologies.  The result of these efforts is an environment that enables each patient to reach his or her highest level of functional independence.

We are proud to be recognized for quality patient care. In 2009, Kindred Hospital Tucson received a Workplace Excellence Award sponsored by SHRM of Greater Tucson and the Tucson Newspapers. Out of over 140 applications and 20 finalist nominees, the Tucson hospital was chosen as the Competitive Workforce Award winner.
